Palette Films Website Nearly Complete

Jun 21, 2011GeorgeCustom web components, Custom Websites, June, 2011, Pending Websites, Rochester, NY, Tom's Graphics, Tom's Photography0 Comment

We had submitted multiple proposals for the design of this site before finally being approved last week.  Some of them can be viewed at samples.idwds.com.

Palettefilms.com uses a completely different style from all of our previous designs. I personally prefer this use of photography in the design over HTML generated image repeats or other synthetic graphics. Real is just better imo.

We also included a “mobile version” that retains all the textual content of the full version, but without all the imagery. The script first detects if the user has sessions enabled, then it checks their screen size. If it’s under a certain width, it presents them with the option of viewing it as a “mobile device” before the bulk of the data is streamed to their browser. If they hit ‘ok’, it rewrites the pages in a very lightweight format for the duration of their session.

We’re only waiting on Home page content and approval.
